Yakuza 0[]
A member of the Dojima Family, together with Kiryu. Friends and sworn brothers, the two grew up together at the Sunflower Orphanage and joined the Dojima Family together. Blessed with cunning, wit, and the ambition to make use of them in order to climb the family ranks, he shows frustration at Kiryu's lack of drive to do the same. Behind his desire for success is his concern for the well-being of his sickly younger sister.
Yakuza Kiwami[]
Kiryu's closest friend, who grew up alongside him in Sunflower Orphanage. After Kiryu takes the blame for the murder of Sohei Dojima, Nishikiyama becomes a patriarch of his own family and secures the backing of the Omi Alliance to rise to power. At an officer's meeting, he exposes the Tojo Clan's missing ten billion yen. He secures Haruka's pendant from Lau Ka Long and orders the deaths of Reina and Shinji, who he realizes have betrayed him.
Yakuza Kiwami 2[]
Deceased. Former patriarch of the Nishikiyama Family, a Tojo Clan subsidiary. Best friends with Kiryu since their days growing up in the Sunflower Orphanage. With Kazama's blessing, he joined the Dojima Family alongside Kiryu but killed hiw own patriarch after finding out he abducted the woman both he and Kiryu loved. After betraying Kiryu, who had covered for his crimes, he climbed the Tojo Clan ladder and started the war of succession. After fighting Kiryu, who stood in the way of his plans, he died to protect his former rival, as well as Haruka and Yumi, from Kyohei Jingu's assault.
